As the 62nd Annual Scottsdale Arabian Horse show comes to a close, we reflect on our past 2 weeks in Arizona. It is stated that the Arabian horse is the most versatile breed in the world, and we were fortunate to see this firsthand. From English and Western Pleasure, Hunter/Jumper and Working Western, to Halter and Dressage, the Arabian breed offers something for everyone. In fact, while here we met with Arabian horse owners and trainers from every continent (other than Antarctica), and were inspired by their commonality...an adoration for the history and beauty of the Arabian horse.

WestWorld Show Grounds
The first Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show was held in 1955 and hosted 50 horses on the grounds of the Arizona Biltmore Hotel. Today, this show ("the greatest horse show on earth") brings together nearly 2,500 horses from all over the World and hosts them at the beautiful WestWorld facility. Over the course of 11 days, more than 300,000 spectators can enjoy watching the World's most versatile breed perform in multiple arenas, shop the day away with 300+ commercial and corporate vendors, or just enjoy the desert sun and panoramic views. If that's not enough, one can enjoy any number of barn tours and horse presentations, the APAHA and AHT awards ceremony, horse auctions (one of which that featured a filly who sold for $1,550,000!), and more.
